Andreka M. Fluker, MA

Andreka Fluker is currently a doctoral student at the Georgia School of
Professional Psychology of Argosy University,  working at Stonewall
Psychological Associates to fulfill requirements for diagnostic training. Her
responsibilities include the administration of diagnostic test batteries and
completing a formal report of the test findings.

Ms. Fluker obtained her B.S. in Psychology from Xavier University in New
Orleans, LA in May of 2001. Following graduation she  remained in New
Orleans and continued her education at the Tulane University School of Public
Health and International Medicine. In December of 2002 she received a
Masters of Public Health with a dual concentration in Maternal and Child
Health and Health Education.

Throughout her academic training Ms. Fluker  gained experience facilitating
groups with African American women who are either infected with or affected
by HIV/AIDS. Additionally, she was involved in the development of community
focused educational materials aimed at reducing the prevalence of Sudden
Infant Death Syndrome in the state of Louisiana.

Prior to entering her current doctoral program Ms. Fluker served as an
Assistant Study Coordinator and Research assistant at the New Orleans
Veterans’ Administration Medical Center. In this position she assisted in the
coordination of the Persian Gulf Deployment study, which is investigating
what effects deployment to the Persian Gulf region specifically has on
cognition, if any.

Upon completion of the doctoral program Ms. Fluker hopes to work with
populations who suffer from chronic diseases such as cancer and HIV/AIDS.  
She also hopes to work to continue working with women and the issues that
face them in their daily lives.  

Andy Smith, MA

Mr. Smith is a doctoral student at Argosy University (Georgia School of
Professional Psychology). He has completed all of his requirements and is
currently working on his Clinical Research Project before receiving his Psy. D.
He has a BS degree from the United States Military Academy and an MA degree
from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology.

Mr. Smith  completed his Predoctoral Internship at the University of Oregon’s
Counseling and Testing Center. He has also completed various year-long
practicum training experiences across different settings, which has allowed
him the opportunity to work with diverse populations and presenting concerns.
These experiences include two years of therapy practicum at the Georgia State
University Counseling Center with specialized training in the area of
multicultural counseling and work with trauma survivors. He has also
completed a therapy practicum at the Northside Hospital Recovery Center,
where he worked with individuals recovering from alcohol and substance
abuse. He also completed a diagnostic practicum in a private practice in
Atlanta, where he conducted psychological evaluations for individuals
applying for disability services.

Currently, Mr. Smith is primarily conducting psychological evaluations for
children and adults. Upon completing his degree and licensure, Mr. Smith
plans to provide individual and group therapy primarily with adults and
adolescents, as well as psychological evaluations of children and adults. Areas
of interest/specialty include men’s issues, LGBT concerns, multicultural issues,
trauma survivors, and college/career related concerns.
