| Thank you for your interest in my practice. I encourage you to review the information listed below which is intended to address common questions and concerns. |
I have provided headings to help you navigate through the information. This includes separate headings for psychotherapy and psychological assessment, depending on your interests. BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE/INTERESTS I joined Stonewall Psychological Associates in 2003 after completing my doctoral degree in clinical psychology. I have experience providing individual, couples, and group psychotherapy. I have a very personal respect and appreciation for diversity and have worked with a highly diverse clientele across gender, age, race, ethnic background, socioeconomic status and sexual orientation. My approach to therapy is discussed below under a separate heading. Areas of interest/specialty include grief and loss, adjustment issues, life transitions, chronic illness, family of origin issues, sexual orientation issues, LGBT concerns, depression, anxiety, trauma and relationship problems. I also work with a range of other presenting concerns and am open to discussing your particular concern and deciding, with you, what you would like to work toward in therapy. In addition to psychotherapy, much of my training and experience has involved psychological evaluation of children, adolescents, and adults. I have a diverse background of experience including psychological and neuropsychological assessment, presurgical screening evaluations (e.g., bariatric surgery, organ transplant) and providing psychological care and evaluation of patients with chronic and acute medical illnesses. I was trained from a neuropsychological perspective and psychological assessment continues to be an area that I am heavily involved in. I conduct assessments to evaluate developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, personality functioning, cognitive/intellectual functioning and adaptive functioning. Please see a more detailed discussion below regarding psychological assessment. For more information about my approach to therapy and assessment, click here - More Information FEES I believe that everyone should have access to mental health services and I offer a sliding-fee scale with the goal of increasing the accessibility of psychological services. My sliding fee scale ranges from $50.00 - $115.00 per session, depending on your income. My fee arrangement for psychological assessment varies, depending on the nature of the evaluation, which I would be happy to discuss with you.
